On your ticket you will have a link to a Google map for the exact departure point in Naxos town. It's easy to find just don't be late!
The first stop of the day is the exquisite Manganari beach on the island of Ios. You'll be amazed by the crystal clear water. Here you'll stop for about one hour so you can go swimming, snorkeling and, if you like, have a drink and eat some snacks on board - water, soft-drinks and delicious local wine are available.
Before reaching Santorini, you'll have a chance to explore the still active volcano at the heart of Santorini's famous caldera. The small semi-circular island is made of fresh dark black lava and you can see the pillow shapes it has recently formed. The majority of the activity of the volcano is still underwater but on top you can feel the steaming volcano underneath your feet and there are plenty of springs emitting hot Sulphur infused water. It's an experience like no other giving you the chance to fully appreciate the awesome power of mother-earth.
The eruption of the volcano in 1600 BCE and the ensuing tsunami reached Crete and contributed to the end of the so called Minoan civilization of which the very heart was Santorini itself, which, of course, was once known as 'Atlantis' according to the majority of historians concerned with the subject today.
The next stop is Ammoudi port in Oia in Santorini. This is the small port used for small boats and not the large ferry port or the cruise port. It is located right in the heart of Oia in Santorini. There are a few steps to travel up and then you are in the heart of stunning Santorini.
You have 4 hours to explore the island at your leisure. We suggest that you pay a visit to the Archaeological Museum in town where the Minoan civilization will come to life via the impressive preserved frescos. Or if you have more time you can make your way to the museum of Akrotiri. There are regular busses in the summer. This is a museum of an excavation of a Minoan era settlement where you can see in detail how the people of this highly advanced civilization lived.
Of course if you don't want to visit any museums, modern-day Santorini is in itself a work of art. Blue and white Cycladic architecture meets the blue of the sea of sea and the sky. There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from whether you want fresh sea-food or fresh ice-cream. Make sure you have your phone fully charged because ever corner you take you'll be presented with new breathtaking views.
Your final stop on your Cycladic island tour will be the stunning beach of Mikri Vigla on Naxos. After travelling from Santorini it's the perfect spot for a refreshing swim and to relax on deck before you head back to the small marina in Naxos Town.
You'll arrive back at Naxos marina. Just in time for an early dinner or a cocktail while you discuss the favorite parts of your amazing private cruise in the stunning islands of the Cyclades.
