Embark on a peaceful and unforgettable excursion aboard a wooden sailing boat departing from the charming old port of Fira at 15:30. You'll be transported to the small port of Nea Kameni in just 10 minutes where you'll have approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to explore the wild and fascinating volcanic landscape. Walk among different volcanic rocks and observe the active craters, still emitting steam and the distinct scent of sulfur.
Next, the boat sets sail for Palaia Kameni, home to the therapeutic hot springs located in the small bay of Agios Nikolaos. Take a refreshing swim in the sea and climb down a ladder to reach the mud baths, believed to have beneficial properties for the skin and other ailments. The boat remains in the bay for about 30 minutes, allowing you to take full advantage of this unique experience.
As the sun starts to set, the boat will cruise around the caldera, providing breathtaking views of the houses clinging to the edge of the cliff with the stunning colors of the sunset as a backdrop. Relax on the wooden boat, listen to soothing music and enjoy a glass of local wine.
