Description

In this private cooking lesson in our beautiful village, we try to use only organic and local ingredients and focus on traditional Greek and local Naxian receipts.

The cooking course takes place either in the noon or afternoon. Since it is a private tour the starting time is up to you to fix, make sure it is close to your usual lunch or dinner time).

Your host family welcomes you at their home with traditional sweet preserves and shares their secrets and receipts.  You put your kitchen apron on and start cooking the main course which usually is "gemista" (tomatoes and bell peppers stuffed with rice) or  “soutzoukakia” (spicy meatballs in fresh tomato sauce).

Next, you make a short visit to the farm to collect some fruits and vegetables.

After that, with the goodies you have handpicked, you prepare "kolokythokeftedes" (deep-fried zucchini balls), "tzatziki" (dip with yogurt, garlic, and cucumber), and a Greek salad which then you enjoy together on the family table.

For dessert, there is traditional "risogalo" (rice pudding), "moustalevria" (must pudding), and "loukoumades" (fried cakes with honey).

Bon appetite and cheers!
